The concentration of oxygen dissolved in water is very important in nature as well as in the human environment. In oceans, lakes, rivers and other surface waters, dissolved oxygen is essential for the development of aquatic life. Without oxygen, water becomes toxic due to the anaerobic effect of organic matter. In the human environment, water must contain at least 2 mg/l oxygen to protect water pipes from corrosion. However, boiler water, in many cases, cannot contain more than 10 mg/l of oxygen.

The Hanna HI3810 Dissolved Oxygen Test Kit can determine the concentration of dissolved oxygen in water quickly and easily. The kit is portable, so it can be used both in the field and in the laboratory. Its design allows easy handling and, except for Reagent 5, practically prevents damage due to spillage of the reagents. The HI3810 is a test kit based on the determination of the concentration of dissolved oxygen within the range of 0 to 10 mg/L of O2.
